100 Cool Things

MARKHAM, ON (April 16, 2007) - Multimatic has been recognized in the Automotive News' "100 Cool Things" list, for two separate innovative tech- nologies. No other supplier has two pieces of technology on this list! The first is the tailgate "Lift Assist" as launched on the Toyota Tundra. This device provides open damping as well as closing assist reducing the effort required to lift the tailgate from the open position. The second "cool" thing from Multimatic is the tailgate step as featured on the Ford SuperDuty. The mechanism slides out of the tailgate to provide a step up into the bed. A grab handle extends upward to a vertical position, to provide a sturdy brace when descending from the bed.
